Article 1. Legal Frameworks for the Processing of Personal Data

Digitalrise.nl is a business focused on operating company directories, where third parties can leave reviews about companies or collaborations. The following legal frameworks apply to the business activities of Digitalrise.nl:

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: GDPR);
  • The Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (hereinafter: UAVG).

Article 2. Description of Personal Data

Digitalrise.nl may process personal data about you because you use the products and/or services of Digitalrise.nl and/or because you have provided your personal data to Digitalrise.nl yourself. Digitalrise.nl may process the following personal data: your first and last name, your address details, your date of birth, your gender, your telephone number, your email address, your payment details, and your IP address. In addition, Digitalrise.nl processes and/or stores data related to attachments left at the time of writing a review.

Article 3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed only on a legitimate basis and only for well-defined, explicitly described, and legitimate purposes. Your personal data may be processed by Digitalrise.nl for: entering into and executing an agreement with you, facilitating payment, keeping you informed of the progress of the agreement, and to comply with legal obligations arising from the law or guidelines.

Article 4. Retention Period for Personal Data

Digitalrise.nl does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your personal data was initially collected (see Article 3). Your personal data will in any case not be kept for more than 7 years (based on the period set by the Tax Authorities for keeping administration). The term for storing or processing attachments left at the time of writing a review is not longer than 1 year.

Article 5. Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

Digitalrise.nl only provides personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Digitalrise.nl may provide your personal data to a payment processor to facilitate the payment for the purchased services, or to officials charged with supervising compliance with legal requirements.

Article 6. Marketing Activities

As part of its marketing activities, Digitalrise.nl keeps track of the general visit data of its visitors. In this context, the IP address of your computer and the time of retrieval of data sent by a visitor’s browser can be registered. These data can be used for statistical analyses of visit and click behavior on the website and are anonymized as much as possible.

Article 7. Processing Personal Data of Minors

Digitalrise.nl only processes personal data of minors (persons younger than 16 years) if written permission has been given by the parent, guardian, or legal representative. However, Digitalrise.nl cannot verify whether a visitor is 17 years or older. Digitalrise.nl therefore advises parents, guardians, or legal representatives to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent their children’s personal data from being collected without parental consent.

To ensure this protection and fair processing of personal data, the GDPR provides the data subject with a number of rights that the data subject can exercise or invoke against the data controller (in this case Digitalrise.nl).

The data subject has the right to information about the processing of his/her personal data, the right to access his/her personal data, the right to correction, rectification, or supplementation of any incorrect personal data, the right to deletion of personal data (“the right to be forgotten”), the right to restriction of processing of his/her personal data, the right to object to the processing of his/her personal data, the right to transfer his/her personal data (“data portability”), the right not to be subject to automated decision-making, and the right to object to the processing of personal data.
